Blinky Ball
« on: February 20, 2012, 08:59:12 pm »
Hi Every1

New to the forum but I've been following Dave for some time now, so hello all you smart ppl. On to business. I also follow another forum hackaday.com. Has anyone seen the post on the Blinky ball:

http://charliex2.wordpress.com/2012/02/11/the-blinky-ball-nullspacelabs/

In short this is SO COOL and I want one. Anyone thinking of maybe building a much smaller(not that small though) scale one or will it become useless after a while?
If it cannot be done, the answer is simple: Do the impossible and hurry up!

Looks kind of cool, although $250 is quite a lot for an interactive christmas tree decoration!

Fun and cute, but I think it's totally under-thought and over-engineered. Plus, way too expensive.

It's not even indestructible, she almost dropped it at the end of the video... oops.. there goes $250 you didn't need anyways. :)
