Brymen Firmware Update

(1/1)

Mark65:
Hi All,
After stalking the forums for a while (year or two) I thought I would join, I have a Brymen BM789 on Rev 6 firmware and am trying to find out how to update it, is it possible, I assumed it may be similar to the Fluke range but cant find anything.
I've mailed Telonic who I bought it from to see if they do it and the cost, Ive had it it over a year now for use around the house, car and motorcycle and for my use I have no problems but still like to keep things up to date.
I was looking at the 869s to add to it just for well no reason, I don't drink or smoke and like to spend my money on decent kit even if it only gets used once and a while, I was looking for a fluke that was the same spec as the 869s but they coming in at crazy money  :o.
Anyway hi to everyone and thanks for any advice.

Mark

Veteran68:
Brymen typically doesn't provide end-user firmware support. They share the programmers and firmware updates to some of their resellers under NDA that aren't allowed to share them, only to service their own customers and keep their inventory updated. Dave has talked about this in his videos about the BM786. So I expect your only channel of support would be your dealer.

Mark65:
Thanks, yes the dealer can do it for me if needed free but will need to post as im not near them.
