| buck converter inductor |

Is there an advantage of using a RF inductor Vs a power inductor for a 200kHz .5A buck converter . Given that both devices have similar parameters (not all listed) self resonance, inductance value and saturation voltage etc etc. thanks |

Do you mean saturation current? Beside the current capabilities, the DC resistance matters. Can you give part numbers to compare? The title says inverter, is this a typo for converter, or you looking to have an isolated flybuck topology? |

RF inductors often have low inductance for their size, so they aren't often appropriate for an SMPS. They also don't tend to be rated for high current or higher temperatures, and have higher series resistance. |
