Buying Individual Turned Pin Sockets & Pins?
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:50:35 am »
i've been salvaging these off some old scrap boards as they are proving very useful to me, does anyone know where i might be able to buy some new?

they are an individual turned pin socket and a pin and are great for making adaptor boards and stuff that plug into each other, especially when modding old through-hole pcbs

Mill-Max and such.  They're not cheap though: these sockets cost about $3 each in parts.

There's a lot of socket out there. I have never searched for the counter part:

I have used the following TE Connectivity sockets for Nixie tubes in the past.
A bit pricey, but very good sockets. ( >100 = NZD 0.488 ea. )
I am not sure where you would source a pin like your one though.

Where are we going, and why are we in a handbasket?
