Can anyone spot a date code?
« on: December 16, 2019, 10:49:22 pm »
Hi I was curious when my function generator from eBay was manufactured. I attached a photo of the main PCB and already looked for Datecodes myself, but I highly doubt that it was made in 56 or even 47. Anyone seeing a more plausible number?

The big electrolytics sometimes have a date code as well. Did you check them?

Mid 1980's judging by the PCB construction and ECAD software which was probably a Protel type.

Can't see a date, I'd wild guess around 1978.
.  That took much longer than I thought it would.

Oh, yes, I can see soviet resistors (red and gray colours) and keys switch station! (sorry my bad English, I am newbie).
Switch is  not bad, but he has  silver plated contacts, they could be coated with oxide. I always use silicon grease after cleaning contacts with alcohol or solvent.
Silicon grease will protects silver from air.
