| Can I ask a question about ... our Universe? |

If your question is why such conditions appeared on Earth, and not, let say, on Mercury, the answer would be the anthropic principle. If the question is why carbon-based life is even possible in the Universe, or why electrons and quarks exist in our Universe, or why the Universe exist - the answer is beyond science. --- Quote from: pcprogrammer on September 21, 2022, 06:09:23 pm ---If it is only for reasons of reproduction why is there then death? --- End quote --- Because “everybody dies… sooner or later”: https://youtu.be/ypBkfosrdPw |

We know a lot about how life on earth came to be, and we also think we know why it did not happen on other planets in our solar system. (It is still the question if it did not happen) But with all that knowledge there is still no explanation as to why it did happen. And what the reason behind it al is, if there is any. |

Are you sure this is a technical question? |

Neither can you. :) No hydrogen...no life. So perhaps the purpose is to be hydrogen. Not so easy to simplify or assign a meaning afterall, eh? |
