Resistor code alarm for android.
« on: August 31, 2016, 05:50:19 am »
Hello everyone!

I'm not sure where else to post this idea but I'm sure that, if I'm not in the right place, Mods can move it to right one.

I have an alarm app which only goes off when you solve a preset number of equations and it has helped me to wake on time and I was wondering, what if instead of solving equations, we solve some exercises on resistor's color code? For example, to solve 3 Color to value and 3 Value to color, otherwise the alarm won't go off.
This might sound silly for most of you because the color code is already a part of you but it will be helpful for those who have just started with Electronics.
The only downside is that I don't know how to create it because Java (Android's programming language) is not my language, I'm barely learning C and C++ so as to try to learn another one and that's the reason why I'm posting this, can or would someone be able to help me out with this project? I mean, some ideas, a piece of code or a few tutorials that can help me program this in Java.

I hope you can help me out and if the we are able to make it, it will, obviously, open source and I'll take the time to create (after I've learn it) video tutorials in order to help others customize and create new apps based on this one.

Thanks for your time reading me!
See you!
