Why isn't there a forum category for talking about the forum?
« on: February 13, 2016, 03:14:18 am »
This has happened to me a couple of times in the last few days now: I have a question about SMF or something to do with how the forum is working and I end up over here in general chat.

Makes me feel like I've missed a category somewhere.

A meta section would probably help organize things a bit, I would also like a sub category to talk about the category talking about the forum, which would be a good place for this thread.

General Chat surely covers this.
I have not seen anybody complain that they couldn't get a point across about how the forum operates.

It is much harder to "break the fourth wall" on Whirlpool,& impossible on "The Roar",which are two other forums I frequent.

Well, reflection is powerful and sometimes helps with elegant solutions, but it can also be subversive which is why some people dislike an forbid it  ;D

So the question is, should reflection be a core part of the languageforum, or an add-on package be restricted to a subforum?   ^-^
