CASIO fx-82LB
« on: November 01, 2015, 09:21:22 pm »
Hi,

Just thought this may be of interest to the Casio fans, I recently had to replace batteries in the works FX-82LB calculator.

First of all surprised to find two AA batteries, was expecting a coin cell, then surprised by the fact they were the original Casio ones dated 93/08.

Grainy photo attached.

I have a fx-7000G graphing calculator, as a backup to my ti-89.

The batteries in my 7000G were replaced last year, they've been in there since maybe 1990?
They were still working, but I didn't fancy them leaking just in case.

No datecode on my batteries, but i figured they were a few years when i replaced them this year. I bought it used,  they still measured 2.8ish volts.

I see yours is missing its hard cover thing like mine is. I just took it apart; date on the batteries is Jan 1999 which I assume to be expiry date? I have vague recollections of changing the batteries once since I had it, which would have been from new when I was at school whenever that was.

I don't know why I bother keeping the calculator on my desk. I haven't really used it much in years since it's generally better to just use the computer.
