| Cheap Chips for SMT Testing? |
| (1/1) |
| fourfathom:
I will probably be getting a cheap Pick and Place unit (perhaps the CHM-T36VA), and am wondering if I can find a source for guinea-pig chips? I don't mind wasting a few spools of 0402 and 0603 resistors, but I don't want to spoil my expensive QFN36 and 48TQFP chips, or some of the more expensive SOT23 and SC-70 parts. Can anyone suggest a source for cheap parts in these packages? This is just for dialing in the physical placement, they don't have to be functional. |

You might be able to buy small amounts of chips on eBay or Alibaba sort of listing. Jon |

You may have solderability issues with random chips from ebay. We use Practical Components. https://www.practicalcomponents.com/ |
