The $50K is no problem but the shipping is kinda high.

Actually, I'm only half kidding on that one - you'd think for $50K they'd throw in the shipping.

$0.99 + $500 shipping.
Don't know if I'd buy a $50,000 item from a guy with 4 recent feedback, one negative...

Where does someone in oz get that sort of kit to sell on ebay?
There would not be many in the entire country.

Closed down speciality assembler/service centre that got outsourced to another country, and they have all the needed equipment already.

I was offered a few very high end Network analyzers a few months ago, not sure if this was amongst them but there was certainly a 50GHz PNA in the lot. $50k isn't a bad price if it works ok, however I'd rather have a 20GHz version, less to go wrong, I very very rarely work above 20GHz, or even much above 12GHz and the connectors and cables to work at 50GHz are incredibly expensive and very delicate.

My first job after graduating was at GEC research working on microwave integrated circuits.

I remember the labs budgeting for a new VNA, an 8510, which only went to 26.5GHz but still cost something like $500,000 (this may have even been £500,000).
As a comparison my starting salary was £5,000 per year. The flat I bought was £23,000 (in Harrow). So half a million was equivalent to something like £2.5 million at least.

In the light of that a mere $50,000 for a system going to 50GHz does seem cheap!

Though maybe it is worrying that the support contract runs from April 1st ;)

With only 75% Positive feedback I wouldn't buy anything from him!

People, I have to announce that in the following months you won't see me being active here in the forum. I have a kidney extraction surgery scheduled for tomorrow. My question is:

Does anyone knows of a good organ dealer? PM me. My starting price is 50k, US.

If you look closer then you see the guy isn't selling much on Ebay and Ebay only looks at the last 12 months so 1 negative feedback on 4 sales in a year amounts to 25% negative feedback. Just one negative on 25 transactions isn't the end of the world. Maybe the buyer didn't read the description or the discription was incomplete. We'll never know...
