Set your country flag, please.

There is no a second hand equipment shop in Spain that I am aware of.
Bresides eBay you can try segundamano.es and milanuncios.com. Sometimes something appears at todocoleccion.net.

The times when you could buy cheap electronics at the ports is long gone, or is it still a thing?

mouser, farnell, rs, digikey, ...

second hand ? niche forum with confidence users (radio, ee, audio) and ebay.

local shop ? well..... :box:

since 90s, just nothing left. In any major city remains some store, with prices above this. Forget about searching precise stock or precise elements, their websites are a joke.

My last experience on local shop, one month ago: 50km highway (fuel & 3 pay points), arrive and park, 45 minutes waiting to be served, but then had no stock :palm: I had seen it available on their website (?) then I decide to get it the same day.  Well, no stock, I said I had called earlier. no response.... the replacement offered did not convince me, if requested the piece, with no guarantee of delivery or price, then delivery in two or three weeks. finally bored, with my quite stupid face, quite stupid face, I thought that for a large warehouse that remained, they no longer commit errors and servility that has sunk them.  Leave the shop, after paying an absurd hour of parking, I got home, Farnell and the next morning I had. half of price .

Many years ago I was convinced that they are a dead business and don't  try again. game over.

They die from the late 90's.

Before there was an entire city section to components and electronic equipment, then became computer stores and now all are mobile&ipads shops.

The country waste disposal policy prevents us to have recovery & repair electronic equipment from green stores. This is considered highly polluting waste and don't want to be recovered by individuals except for companies that are dedicated and certifieds to their treatment.  I suspect there is interest among these companies, this is Spain and we have a long tradition of politicians with their family&friends in opaque contracts.

There are a lot of Ham Radio people in Spain, at least a lot of my friends are Hams, so get in that circle, I bet they have old equipment like everyone else that they might not use or want to repair.

But I don't go back that often and when I do is just for a short visit with my family and some friends, so I don't really know.

Even CB band was big in the 80's and since things don't change that much I bet it's still big.

What forums? I ghve no idea! I tried Unicrom to ask about good electronics books, they had no ÷?÷×}©®™¶ idea, even less than myself (I have no clue).

Here in Malaga we have an okaish zone with electronics shops, but they are expensive. Electronica 90 has a good service, but sometimes they had a newbie guy that had no idea about electronics and where to find components.

Electrocasa is okaish too, they were most focused on kits. I don't visit them in ages. They at least have OK prices at JBC soldering tips.

There's other shop at the center near Fuente Olletas. They sell stuff, but most of their business is cables and repairing

For what is worth in the 80's they were no better, you had to wait 2 months to get a Z80 for example at the local electronic shop, and by local I mean after going to the province's capital where you could find only a couple of electronic stores.

So I'm not sure how they died in the 90's since things have always been slow in Spain as far as special orders went.

Ham operators and people that use Citizens Band (Radio Aficionados)  they do (or used to) get together (I think they call it "Verticales") and they probably still do. They not only talk about radio stuff, because they are usually involved in electronics as well.

So search for "reunion de radio aficionados" in your area. That will be my best guess to interact with people that might have  test equipment functional or for repair available in your area.

Magazines related to "radio aficionados" used to have classified ads for "compra/venta"
