Cheap SMT enclosed trimpot
« on: July 01, 2021, 03:07:48 pm »
I am after something like this

but not at the Bourns price of ~60p (1k+).

One can get "cermet" trimpots down to 10p but they are the open type which are easily knocked and moved

The product is an open PCB until it goes in the case, and it could be knocked.

And I don't want to use the really crappy carbon ones like these

I am pretty sure there are chinese cermet SMT trimpots around the 10p area but can't find any... plus most chinese stuff is poor QA so hard to know which items are worth looking at.

The product is quite cheap so other options (e.g. potentiometer chips with an SPI port) are not an option. I have other options e.g. put a number of resistors on the PCB with blobbable pads and blob them in production... would be cheap enough for sure.

That one is an open one, which can be nudged in board handling.

One can get those for 10p/10c.
