Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.

how do you calibrate them?  surely there's a way to avoid over-tightening without using a tool that will eventually be well out of spec.  two-finger tightening, maybe, i don't know.

These are my favorite. Bidirectional, 3% accuracy with Nist cert, comparatively inexpensive, no adjustment necessary.  Not what you want for production but for home lab use much more efficient.  No moving parts just a torsion rod so for home use it will never need recalibration.

Wiha makes some adjustable torque screwdrivers that aren't hideously expensive (similar to Wera in cost for Torqvario models; ~$110 - 125USD for non-ESD versions).

Well, after looking at serval solutions.. i found this on, digital, perfect for my use, i need a with torque from 1,2 to 6 Nm. And to a very good price!  :)

186£ pluss resonable 15£ shipping to Norway, not bad at all.  other selelrs sell if for up to 260£,   Im looking forward to get in the post!
They do look nice, and please post your impressions. :)

But your mention of "cheap", I assumed ~200GPB would have been out of budget.  :o  :P

I ended up with a NOS Utica TS-35 from eBay ~6 years ago. Description was dead on; original cal sticker from July 1984, and all the original packaging and documents. Paid ~$30 IIRC.  >:D

Congratulation, this is the absolute ultimate Torque screwdriver :-+

I didn't mention this piece of German engineering bevor,
because in the first post I read something about a cheap
torqe screwdriver but this marvel is the opposite,
it's one of the most expensive screwdrivers :D

Mine is a cheap spring tension bar that I checked against a calibrated torque wrench tester and it agreed within 5% across the range, so i trust the reading from it. Not good at the low end, but fine up to 200Nm, and used a lot for machinery where I want a preset torque other than " tighten till it breaks and next time not so tight", or the calibrated wrist.
