China post " An interesting video "
« on: February 16, 2011, 06:10:35 am »
I got an genuine spare battery for my Sanyo HD video camera from ebay ( China)
and I got an tracking number , that there is no way to track.

By my knowledge the main Chinese postal service, was the Hong Kong postal service.
And when ever I had an tracking number, I was able to track it with them.

This time the seller says that he send the goods with " China post " .
And the tracking number looks like  RA039068---CN
I did an long dive in unmapped territory ( Chinese language all the way ) ,
trying to get in to the page that I would track my item.

I ended up even at EMS that looks to be the link between China post and the rest world.

My research lasted for about an hour, I did no find what I was looking for,
but i found this video, that is full of passion for the China post.  :)

If some one has any idea where is the link  about "China post " mail tracking ,
I would appreciate it allot.

In the US, entering a China Post or Hong Kong Post number on the US Postal Service web page calls up the tracking information.  It usually works ok but there's not a lot of detail sometimes.

In my recent case of a delayed shipment from ITead Studios, the package started out with a China Post number but after sitting in ShenZeng for 6 weeks it was reshipped via Hong Kong Post - I never received any notice that the tracking number had been changed and was surprised when the package showed up.  The original tracking number showed it was still in ShenZeng.

This is just like those poorly photo-shopped images of the BP oil spill command centre.

Well even so , I think that even with such profits there is no excuse for the American economy , to be in such bad shape.
Looks that some one in the government plays all this profits in a casino or something !!  ;D

But my intention its not to get in to a conversation about politics ,
the above video about China worth's as example , and we have to seek and find of what we doing wrong.

Yes this link comes first in Google , but at the first time that I try it , I was getting no response at all.
Today it says  the my number its not registered to it .

And the funny part are that this item must be on China post installations for 48 hours at list.
Payed for it before three days, got the code the next day , so its two days parked somewhere in the China post warehouses.

China post tracking:

http://www.ems.com.cn/english-main.jsp

You maybe know that China have most big festival "New Year". We can not easy understand it in western countries. It is much more that our Christmast + New year together. Chinese new year "festival time" is around 2 weeks and changes every year as moon calendar. Now there is "lantern festival" what ends this New year festival time. (yes this is 15 days) Whole china is not working normally between this time period. (whole country is neraly like "closed" this time. (yes many offices do not stop two weeks but lot of affects still)

As in western countries also in china you may get tracking number before parcel is inside system. Example I have hundreds of tracking codes, ready for use (not in China becouse I do not now live there). Many seller use services for pick up some "lot" to postal office.

Normally China post EMS tracking work well (but littlebit slow)
China Post is maybe most big and powerful postal service in world and it also work as clock made in Switcherland. Inside China it is like small miracle how they work in this kind of population and infrastructure.

In my case China Post EMS have never fail. (sellers fails and lies sometimes but not China EMS)

EV of course. Cars with smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum. In Finland quite all electric power is made using nuclear, wind, solar and water.

Wises must compel the mad barbarians to stop their crimes against humanity. Where have the (strong)wises gone?

My order in early Jan. took over a month from Hong Kong. This is a bad time of year to get anything in a hurry.

All those sellers they use economy shipping and takes three weeks.

Once, some one send me an item with normal Airmail from China , and it came in 7 days , the same speed like US -> GR

The world record in speed , holds it the Japanese post  ,  I ordered some stickers for my motorcycle ,
and they came in three days to Greece.

I ordered a laptop case from China. It tool 1 month to come only to find out they sent the wrong one. Plus 1 month to go back, plus 1 month for teh right one to come back here. Total 3 months in transit.

Moral: Triple check the correct item is being sent!

Thanks a lot friend ...
My tracking code started to work ,  but since the moment that It got scanned as soon it entered on the air plain for departure !!
Should i conclude that this practice are what to expect from China post ??

The seller delivered the item for postage at 14 Feb --> Got in the air plain 17 Feb --> the tracking code  become active at 19 Feb.
RA039068896CN

Its not an urgent delivery , and I am not in fire to get it,  but I do like to check the response of all those postal services worldwide from time to time.

Currently the international shipping from USPS has an 30% slowdown in response( 10 days to Greece)  , from what it had before a year time ( Before Crisis time).
And the worst services comes from the Canadian post , like 23 days of long waiting for standard small packets.

The same long waiting of 23 days, goes also for the Hong Kong post but for their economy shipping.

The korean Post was and are always faster ...

And now I am benchmarking my first officially tracked item with China Post.

I ordered the genuine battery for my camera , boxed - branded - large labeling and all.
The good part , the seller its new on ebay ( 588 sales) has 99,6% rating ( 5 reds) .

And so I am positively charged..  :)
