Hi team,

I'm taking the family to the Gold Coast Jan 17-23 2019 and would be a lot happier if I could find some eclectic TE to lug back to Christchurch in my bag to make up for the 1 week of tweens constantly fighting around me.

Are there any ham junk sales nearby at that time?

Does the Carrara Market have any interesting stalls?

Any surplus stores in Brisbane?

Thanks for any info, to make my trip more bearable! Bonus points if there's a HP 5061A lurking there for me to grab. :^)

While I think of it, if you're back in CHC the following week, linux.conf.au will be in town then, I'll be there talking about my efforts building custom hardware and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Yeah, I was going to volunteer for the conference but I get back 1/2 way through and they'll only take volunteers than can attend the whole thing. And the talks I want to see are all on days I can't make it. :^(
