Cleaning virus.
« on: January 12, 2015, 06:32:51 am »
I don't know if this happens everywhere in the world at this time of year for those who have a significant other...

I'm under orders from SHMBO to reduce the 'fire hazard threat' in the garage, this seems to have stemmed from the post Christmas clean up affliction. I think it might not be such an issue if my workbench didn't try and imitate Jim Williams', although don't let that statement fool you into thinking that my workbench could produce anything remotely close to the calibre of Jim's.

I thought about getting the stuff I'm going to dump/E-waste, taking it out into the yard and try to set fire to each item and make two piles. Fire hazard and non fire hazard.   :D

To be fair, she has a point and some hazard reduction is required. We will be moving in a few years and the agreement is - workshop (not garage - a proper workshop) first then house.

I know there are quite a few creative engineers who have this dilemma.
Not easy, not hard, just need to be incentivised.

Perfectly normal, and don't be surprised when you move if the boxes with your stuff are labeled  aargee's Junk or Stuff.
