A 'how are ya' (doing) is a old term term I have heard used to describe to describe what are more commonly called Knackers, Tinkers, Pikies, Gypsys or Travelers. They will greet you with 'How are ya doing Boss' when trying to sell their 'trade'. These days it tends to be guttering or tarmacing your front drive etc.  The quality of the job will be terrible. Other common 'trades' are robbing and scrap metal collecting, often combined.

Yeah, I used to deal with the 'bastids' always trying to sell me a new asphalt sealer job for my parking lot at my office.  "Those Gypsy's, always on the make!"

I nearly unsubscribed when Dave said that.

You clearly need to make Dave like cats. Maybe send him concentrated cat pee so Dave can mark his Boondaburra home with that smell and maybe his office too. Be sure to include alot of this so the treatment can be done behind every door and the garden as well. That way when it's all someone smells when they go outside, what is there not to like.
