CREE has sold LED division to Smart Global Holdings

I didn't know Cree had any other businesses besides making LEDs. After reading that article, it seems they probably made the right move.

A better question is: which semiconductor companies haven’t been divested at least once in their lifetimes? TI... Intel... umm...

Well, Intel are planning to sell off their memory business to SK Hynix, so the list is becoming increasingly small...
