Crimp (die) for "flag" terminal ?
« on: July 02, 2018, 08:12:30 pm »
Hi All,

I could use some hel with to crimping  a few wires with a "angle/elbow/flag" terminal (1.5 mm2).  See picture.

I'm googling my ass off, but I can't find a budget-friendly die (preferable EU) |O

Found this one (I think it says 'abgewinkelt' = angled ?):
https://www.conrad.de/de/crimpeinsatz-flachsteckhuelsen-05-bis-25-mm-toolcraft-1423369-passend-fuer-marke-toolcraft-1423556-1423369.html

But its insulated, and of-course, I need the non insulated version :palm:

Anybody a tip / hint?

For a second I thought to just use some plier and solder it. But its mains power, and I'm not comfortable going down that path.

As always, many thanks!

We've always called them 900 or right angle.

Try Googling this:

Thanks, yeah those are the ones i need, but they are not uniform.

A $25 die is doable, but the machine that comes with it $699, is not :-)

I would contact the maker of the tool you have and see if they can recommend a die.

Or...

Try finding a vendor that sells dies for the tool you have on Aliexpress/Alibaba and contacting them with drawings of the connectors you need crimped.

Looks like all those dies have a $50 hand tool option.
