CRT ti LCD coverter

Hi, I have Tek 475A oscilloscope  but CRT (filament )is ded, im loking for possibility to replace CRT with LCD  display, If any one did such  modification or have tech info please let me know.

I think that the cost of such solution pays you a new DSO.  Either find a replacement tube for the scope, or buy a new one. I do not think the Tek 475 is such a great scope that it would deserve so much work to be refurbished with a LCD.

On the other hand I think that replacing any CRT using a LCD is possible, it all just depend on your skill, time and money you want to put into such solution.

Replacing the CRT with an LCD means adding a pair of digitizers with one being 250 MHz which will be no small task.

In short, it's as easy as building a digital oscilloscope.

Quite often the CRT can be replaced, which is fairly straightforward.

Even replacing the whole oscilloscope is nowdays quiet easy  ;D
