Datasheet search - M54HC123FL or M54HCL23FL?
Toczek13:
Hello,
I am looking for datasheet or any info about M54HC123FL/M54HCL23FL (I am not sure what is written on top ones or Ls) ic. I have extracted it from old spectrometer control rack and google wasn't helpfull at all. I would appriciate any help.
Andy Watson:
Do you have any clue as to what the device does?
Long, long ago, the 74xx series of logic was available as 54xx, which was the military spec'd version. For example:

(download the datasheet)
Edit: Possibly, the "M" indicates it is an ST device. The 54 indicates it is one of their "rad hardened" devices. - so it's possibly a rad-hardened 74HC123. Note, pin-outs are usually different between 54 and 74 series.

It was close to bunch of 741NC op-amps and DAC (8 and 10 bits), the brand name of M54... ic is SGS I think.
I made a photo of this IC.
Andy Watson:
You didn't mention the SGS :)
It's an ancient ST device from the days when they were known as SGS Thomson:

Thank you!
It's older than me :D
