Steve Jobs is more of a business man then an engineer.

When I think of influential people at Apple, I think of Steve Wozniak.

Yes, Jobs is just a salesman. The brains who started Apple was Steve Wozniak. A great movie about this can be viewed for free at <http://www.moviesfoundonline.com/pirates_of_silicon_valley.php>. Pirates of Silicon Valley is a very much underrated  movie.

Electronics engineers and enthusiasts don't become rich and famous - except maybe Dave Jones in the famous department. The exploiters of these people do. Steve Jobs, Gerstner, Gates and countless other billionaires made their money primarily from exploiting people. If money is a unit of labour, how can one man be worth so much? By capitalising on other people's labour, skills and talents, that's how.

The Woz did alright though, he had a few hundred million at one point I believe. Not bad for doing what he loved. He just didn't care about the money.

Jobs doesn't care so much about he money either, ultimately he just wants to be God.

As for Bill.G, his goal from day 1 has been to extract money from the pockets of every living human. He pretty much succeeded. Now he's figured out he can't take it with him, and has changed his life around to do good with it.
