issue between the power ground and signal ground

can we connect power ground and micro controller ground?
what will happen if we make the ground common for both?
please provide some references to understand it properly

Unless you are an expert, NEVER SPLIT GROUNDS.  You are almost always better off using one, large, very solid, ground for everything.

Solve interference issues by not overlapping parts of the circuit.

Well eventually you need to connect all ground together.
The question is where. Normally you do this at the point of the exit of the power supply, which you use a big star.
But sometimes you can also use local stargrounds.
If it's really all just digital, i would probably make one big ground plane.
If it's mixed (analog and digital), than you have to do some more work.
