6000 hours? So basically this is for a show PC only, not for any serious system (although /why/ you would want plasma tube in a "serious" PC is beyond me.)

She's a model who happens to have an interest in high end computers. Not exactly common and certainly something to set her apart from most other PC hardware reviewers.

I was wondering the same thing, plastic doll or a real person. That I suppose accomplished the purpose of making me click the play.

Her annunciation was awful. I can hardly make out the words she was trying to say. Then again, she is a model and a reviewer, and definitely not a participant in a speech context.

The high speed memory chips will have likely have degraded off their extreme timings in the 6000 hour lifespan anyway.

I think she means it feels like "cheap" plastic. The type that noticeably bends with little pressure and is associated with cheap stuff.

Her accent reminds me of BBC news for some reason. And yes, her looks are so perfect that the viewers have to wonder if it's fake or heavily post processed. Which I suppose is a very nice problem to have. There are "HD ready" models and then there are "4K ready" models... I really do wish she would upgrade to a 4K camera so I can see her (and the hardware!) in 4K!

BTW, I know a model who disliked being photographed with a DSLR, but was OK being photographed with a cell phone. The reason being that she's afraid a DSLR would reveal her flaws. I'd imagine the transition to HD (and now 4K) was a nightmare for the imperfect models...

This is the first time I've seen this channel, and if you watch a few other vids, you realize that she's genuinely interested in making her channel and the content is all self-produced. She does thorough reviews too.

How did a thread about a ridiculous "gaming product" turn into slut-shaming?!

I'm wondering if it was a topless bodybuilder guy with oiled muscles doing the review, would the thread have veered into a discussion of the reviewer's fashion sense... Probably not. Come on. There are better and more productive ways to be assholes. Her makeup is nothing you need to be concerned about - it's not like she's your girlfriend. (And if she were, I'd assume you liked her style.)

And then people wonder why there aren't enough women in tech.

If I dressed like that at work (I mean with a short top showing my torso, or any female counterpart did, we would have a visit from HR for sure, we would be sent home to change and that would never happen again.

Only exception maybe Halloween.

Maybe the top choice is a fashion statement, but somehow I don't think it is.

I think she is genuine. Otherwise they would have hired a model who speaks more clearly. And ofcourse she knows she looks good so why shouldn't she use that to her advantage? Good for her. After all her target audience is mostly male...

I wonder if anyone has tried running MemTest86 on these... then again, I've seen "gaming machines" crash so often that they probably wouldn't notice a bit getting flipped once in a while...

Gaming machines in general are about looking as flashy as you can. Similar to modified cars (ricers) they serve no purpose other than looking silly and impressing 13-year-old boys (and slow adults).
Really high end machines (24 core processors and 96 gigs or RAM) used for things like Ansys simulations look nothing like that.
