Digi-Key has changed and it is not very good
gnavigator1007:
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that digikey is one of those sites that intentionally empties carts. The problems I've had with them seem more like errors to me.
chickenHeadKnob:
Well I just had a go at searching Digikey.ca. What an unusable fuxored mess. I search with find chips for a part say STM32H730VBT.
Find chips api to digikey finds stock. Click on the link and get 404 type error. So I go to digikey's parts search box and can't find the part. So then try parametric search with STM32H7 series , 550 Mhz, and LQFP100. I can tell it is finding the parts according to the parts found count, but then it craps out when I click "apply selection" with nothing.

Why only Digi-Key?
For last (say) 5 years, you can apply the template "____ has changed and it is not very good" to any in Top 10 distributors :-+

Apply it to other e-commerce sites too... e.g. eBay lost the ability to do wildcard searches e.g. "HP54*" many years ago, and I still haven't forgiven them!

Yeah, ebay dropping wild card support was super annoying. I had to rewrite almost all my saved searches. I think the biggest winner in any stupid search contest would be Amazon. Their reviews system is amazingly bad due to jumbling almost anything remotely similar in the results. Looking for a power supply a few weeks ago, I was finally able to somewhat narrow down reviews to the one I wanted by filtering results according to "style" and "color". :palm:
