DigiKey is getting worse
rsjsouza:
I tend to save catalogs of parts on my local drive, as I had my share of missing or simply revised PDFs with stripped information.
Regarding Digikey, I tend to use them only as a last resource, as many years ago they managed to screw my first two orders with them (delays and asking for weird stuff such as faxing a copy of the credit card), and ended up leaving a bad taste on my mouth.
When I found out that Farnell had some interesting discounts and Mouser was a stonethrow away from home (metroplex DFW), I haven't looked back.

Yes, THIS is the problem! Digi-Key used to be my fist place to look, their on-line web search was fast and good, and the parametric search was the best. They stocked an amazing range of parts, and tried to keep everything in stock. No MORE!
Now, they have a lot of items that are out of stock, and many that are non-stock, with insane minimum quantities.
Also, the marketplace thing is a horrible change. I ordered some ICs that were listed as in stock at Rochester Electronics, their marketplace partner for "obsolete" parts. Well, then they showed a delivery time of over six months. I called Digi-Key and asked why "In stock" parts would not ship for months, and got no sensible answer. I placed an order directly to Rochester and got them in about 3 days. Wow, this is really going downhill fast!

Completely untrue. The Panasonic website has not only datasheets, but some of the best overview documentation of any cap manufacturer (to help you select which series of caps to use).

Fair enough. I probably just couldn't be arsed at the time.

Then report it to them with the “report an error” link. Every time I’ve sent a report, an actual human has responded within a day.
