Today, I tried to get the datasheet for a Panasonic relay, ALZ12F05.   First, I had to login, then agree to cookies and spam from Panasonic, still no datasheet.  I tried to report the issue to DigiKey.  Nothing works.  My conclusion, DigiKey doesn't want my business.  Mouser does. Sorry for the rant, but I have been a DigiKey hobbyist customer forever.  It is so sad to see it get too big for its pants.

Here it works. When I click on the datasheet link on the Digikey productpage, I land on the Panasonic page that
shows me a cookie consent form. I choose "Reject All". Then I need to check a box that "I have read and unerstood the
above cautions for use." Then I click on "Agree and download PDF files". After a couple of seconds the download starts.

I use Firefox 101.0 (64-bit) with Multi Account Containers, Adblock Plus, Privacy Badger, CanvasBlocker, Cookie Auto Delete on Opensuse Leap 15.3.

and randomly loses my VAT ID so that I can't actually buy from them anymore because I don't know if VAT ID disappears this time or not, and this is actually important for my bookkeeping.
For me VAT address field disappears and VAT payment is asked every time I select any address other than main. The issue is I moved to another place. Changed the main address but it does not change immediately and shows "pending". I guess for human verification. Already tried three times, pending status disappears after maybe a week, nothing changes. Last time I ordered to the old address because I needed the parts quick (they were not available elsewhere) and asked UPS to deliver to the new address in nearby town once package arrived to Latvia. Thankfully it's not an issue here unlike some other countries. That's a real issue, not some datasheet nonsense.

Yes, address choice seems to be connected to the bug. VAT number is clearly visible, I make sure everything's OK, choose the address, the VAT number disappears from the screen but I think it has to be a display bug, and click "order". Lo and behold, the VAT number actually disappeared from the order, not just a display bug!

I have reported this issue to no avail.

Changing primary address sets it in "pending" state for a week, after that someone contacted me and asked why I want to change my address. No shit Sherlock, I have moved!

This totally kills my business with Digikey because I work at two different locations and want parts shipped to these alternate locations which is why the whole possibility of entering address (or choosing between presets) exists. But because of the VAT number bug, I just buy from Mouser. They can deal with business VAT ID like any sensible company.

Why my rant here?  In April 2022, I tried to contact DigiKey to give feedback about its website and search engine.  There was no obvious way to do that.  So, I filed a "return request" for a recent order knowing that would open a dialog.  That did happen, and the dialog seemed to be constructive.

There is a feedback button on every page on DigiKey. If Chrome isn't showing that button to you because you have broken extensions installed, that's your problem.

Sorry to hijiack this thread, I hope this is not too out of topic. Is anybody else experiencing an issue with Digikey where an order is stuck in the status "Submitted" and it doesn't ship, even though everything is in stock? Currently it has been in this state for 3 weeks, and customer service is telling us that it is due to a "system update".  :-//

Never stuck for 3 weeks.  In past times, I was spoiled by same day shipping.  My last two orders were stuck for about 3 days.

Shipping from TRF to Cleveland by USPS is very fast, so with same day shipping, things would arrive at my rural mailbox in about 2 days.  With the longer dalay, order to receipt time from Mouser is the same or better.  Mouser could improve its actual shipping time too.
