Direct donations
« on: February 04, 2013, 10:49:31 am »
Hi there,
I've recently discovered this blog, and Dave's enthusiasm has inspired me to get back into electronics (as a hobby) after 15 years or so...

Anyway, I'd love to make a donation, but hate paypal with a passion and really don't want to sign up to another online service thingy eg flattr.
As I'm in Austraaaalia, I was wondering if there was anyway I could make a direct donation other than popping some cash in an envelope :)

I did a quick search, but didn't see anything on the forum, surely this has been asked before though?

Cheers,
Mark

in the USA if you want to directly give someone money that you know the name and address of, you just hop on over to the post office, buy a money order, fill it out to their name, keep the stub, and send it to them in an envelope.

I betcha there is an equivalent system there even if not through the post office.

postal orders are available from the post office and Dave's address is given in the mailbag videos.

Perhaps Dave could reveal enough bank details so a direct deposit can be made?

I would never give that info out on the net to the general public.  :--

Hmm, hadn't thought of a postal order, I'll look into it, although I have a feeling it's pretty expensive to get one.
Could be some time before Dave gets to it with his mail backlog!  :)

Direct deposit would be great, but I certainly understand why Dave wouldn't give out the details.

smackaay:  Yeah, I saw that, but paypal.  No thanks.

I'll give it some thought, thanks guys
