I kept it as a heritage item - couldn't be bothered to clean my solder!

You are supposed to cut off a fresh length of solder and clean it with an IPA wipe before every joint anyway! Did you not watch the expert-level soldering tutorials?

Unless you are soldering the next brain for a space station, I guess.
