I decided to rent a trial server from OVH in Canada as a possible cheap DC to put my US customers onto. I thought I would post here for all to see, this company have the WORST support I have ever experienced in the industry. I recieved my dedicated server as expected and proceeded to provision it, no more then 4 days later the hard disk failed and would refuse to communciate with the controller. I emailed OVH and requested that they replace the disk. It took over a week just to get a reply, but still no action. After a few more days I finally get another reply stating that they cant install a 2nd drive temporarally so that I may transfer the filesystem to the new disk. I reply stating that it is ok and to just replace the disk since the old disk was completely unresponsive.
Another week goes by... I get fed up and post numerous new threads to their forum to try to get noticed, I also reply with multiple emails asking for support. It took until I demanded my service cancelled and a full refund before I get a reply stating that I never replied to them.... umm yeah, so I dug out the reply from my mailbox and forwarded it (headers included) to prove that I did indeed ask for the disk to be replaced.
So in the end. OVH while are cheap and their network infratstructure is great, their support is absolute crap! Avoid like the plague! I am also still waiting for a refund.
