Do you belong at the fun club of Jean Michel Jarre ?
« on: August 20, 2011, 05:08:40 pm »
At 1980 my own father an freelancer cars electrician, with not knowledge of any foreign language, and with some very basic education,
as at the year 1980 he was at his 40,  he did found as very interesting the music of Jean Michel Jarre,
and he even got the double case with the cassette tapes of the Equinoxe 4.

Even today at 2011 that is 31 years later, I still found the Equinoxe 4, as fresh and  alive sound,
and it makes me feel  like to was a floating electron.  :)

Just add the link of your own favorite title of Jean Michel Jarre music.  ;)

Or add the link of your most favorite song that it was not made in your country ( Just one choice for every EEV member )

Lets have some Fun ..  :)

Django Reinhardt

--Probably the greatest guitar player who ever lived. Notice his left and is crippled, and he only has the use of the first two fingers.

I was (and still am) a huge J.M. Jarre fan. One of my favorite songs is Révolutions, Révolutions:

I absolutely love classic "electronic" music. I find Vangelis' (Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou) music to be a timeless chef d'oeuvre: Chariots of Fire, Alpha, Metallic Rain, Will of the Wind, The city, and many more.

I always get goose bumps when I hear Carl Sagan and Vangelis' themes on Cosmos intro:

or on the "Pale Blue Dot" speech:

Quote from: Carl Sagan
... That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

By the way any member can edit and change his member name at any time.
You have such a good taste in music, why not and one more earthy name.  :)

Don't forget about Herbie Hancock on the Fender Rhodes and Clavinet on that album:

Also don't forget Wendy/Walter Carlos with the Switched on Bach Moog thing
One can never have enough oscilloscopes.
