Beidu - Help to access some FPGA documentation on Beidu.
« on: July 12, 2025, 09:04:19 am »
Just bought a Cyclone IV board on Ali.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009306876743.html?

I asked seller for documentation , and received this link to Baidu  :-[

Quote
Files shared through the network disk: EP4CE6E22 data.rar

Link: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1qL1beGfAS_WuZlxE6R17rw?pwd=v3b3
Extraction code: v3b3

Copy this content and open the Baidu network disk mobile app, the operation is more convenient

I have no access to Baidu , and can't seem to get it working.
I have given up on Baidu  :-\

I asked the seller to provide it in another way: e-mail or wetransfer.
But we seem to have some communications issues , even w. google xlate.

Could some kind person download the file for me, and e-mail or otherwise transfer it to me ?
e-mail will be provided via PM.

/Bingo

Edit: Think someone is working on a schematic here @2025-12-12

Hello, here is file from baidu

Thank you so much  :) :) :-+ :-+

Edit:
I'm not experienced in HDL/Quartus
Just spend a few hours scratching my head, as none of the examples worked in 13.0-sp1 linux
Quartus just hung ...

I then deleted all chinese characters in directory names.
Now it works  :-//

Lesson learned ...
No chinese characters in file/directory names, in my setup.

I just discovered that the FPGA board has no connection on Jtag (Pin4) Vtgt (Vtarget), supplies the "Target voltage" for the programmer driverchips.
This means programming won't work, until you add a "bodge wire" from "Board Vxx" to Jtag Vtgt pin.

The "Ali pict" (attached) mentions 2.5v as Vtgt.
But i have also seen someone mention, that they used 3.3v ad Vtgt.
I have made a bodge wire to 2.5v, and can program the EPCS4 chip, with the : output.jig file.

This is a common issue with JTAG connectors - some programmers generate a default Vtarget of 3V3 if no voltage is supplied, others do nothing.  I think it might come from the old 6 pin JTAG connectors which supply TDO, TDI, TRST, TCK, TMS and GND - no target voltage.
