That just doesn't make sense on any level.

Have you seen the crime, education, health, social and economic figures for your country lately? Heard anything about the growth in income disparity?

You are deluded and this conversation is over.

Fine with me,

It's totally off topic anyways because it goes from making EEVBlog profitable to Kinder eggs, to US idiocracy

Clean up your own backyard first.

I suppose not my place to say this, as I am under a cloud, and upset from a death in my family.(trying to keep away from political threads)

Please, please keep this off EEVBlog, it is the only place on the web I have seen that is not splattered with this crap.
I hope because we are intelligent, forward thinking people.

At the end of the day,  it is most likely not about country or religion, it is about about the greedy elite and their theft from, and abuse of the "common" man.

Back on topic.

I replied to a comment from a "noob" to electronics, in the Rigol vid (a bit of encouragement), and it struck that perhaps one of the reasons Dave is so popular.
The dumbing down of television.

Sell to the lowest common denominator for cash, alienates and bores anyone with half a brain.
UK science TV reminds me of the opening lines of HitchHikers Guide:
"Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's"
Adding insult to injury, the idiot presenters patronise the crap out of you in their delivery of this hogwash too.
This woman:

From the Sky at Night team, the program is now unwatchable, sold out crap.
Wouldn't mind but the mentally deficient in UK are well catered for with Coronation street et al.

When I was a nipper at 11 years, Starwars was just launched.
But it was already behind the times from what had fired my imagination.
Yes I wanted a lightsabre, but I still crept downstairs after 1:00AM every morning to watch the open university, I wanted an oscilloscope too!!

Bring back the flared trousers, naff haircuts and knitted tank-tops.(metaphorically speaking of course)
Bring real science back... and Dave is doing his best doing so!(note he wears a "small" if you are going to send him any knitted tank-tops)
