She lives in NY now but I'm not sure that she's from NY.  That's a somewhat midwestern US accent, to my untrained ear.  I'll listen closely next time I hear her and I'll update this if I think I'm wrong.

What about Salmon?

It wasn't until my 20s that I ever heard an adult pronounce the L.

And to go along with Cool HWhip, how about HWill HWheaton?

So do you pronounce the L in these words?

calm
palm
half
calf
chalk
talk
walk
could
would
should
colonel

And what about the "F" that isn't in Lieutenant?

Oz pronunciation,as close as I can get in written form.

Salmon-----------Sam-on

In the next four,"al" sounds like "ar" as in "dark").
calm--------------karm
palm--------------parm
half---------------harf
calf---------------karf

In the next three,"al" sounds like "or" as in "bore" or "door".or "aw" in "squawk".*
chalk-------------chork
talk---------------tork
walk--------------wawk *

The next lot has the "oo" sound as in "wood",not that in "Moon"..
could-------------kood
would------------wood
should-----------shood

Note, though, there is no "u" in "solder",
And here is a weird one------"oulder" in shoulder is pronounced similarly to  the "older" in solder
