Does this mean what I think it does?

(1/1)

PwrElectronics:
My employer sells products world wide.  I am in the US.  An expensive and system critical power electronics item failed a couple months ago with very low hours and for reasons I don't know took until last week to finally get returned to its origin in the states from a customer in Australia.  It seemed to spend several weeks in customs and then was traveling around to several states in the US after that.

Tech in the lab was checking it out this week when it finally arrived and I happened to notice that the letters "NFG" where written on the side with a paint pen.

I am assuming this means what I think it means !?  haha.

In my head I am hearing some service tech in Australia saying it out loud whilst writing that on there. ;D

TimFox:
The official meaning of the abbreviation is “non-functioning gear”, but no one says it that way.

CatalinaWOW:
Very much like RTFM (Read the Fine Manual)

David Hess:
Or like IHTFP which means I Have Truly Found Paradise.

Smokey:
HA!  Looking around my lab, there are at least 3 pieces of equipment with some button or knob labeled (by me) as "NFG".  In all cases, ya that's what it means.
