Don't let your ex sell your stuff on eBay

And something other than a dirt floor and one with adequate headroom.  After growing up in a basement shop where I could only stand up between rafters and where there was lots of plumbing and ductwork below rafter level I know that all basements are not created equal.

I picked up over twenty years of Electronics Australia magazines for $5.50.  That was a daughter selling her fathers stuff. She just wanted the house cleared so she could sell that.

I agree. Seems more like someone is selling stuff from a family member which passed away. Starting at $1 is a good strategy to get a reasonable price and move stuff quickly.

The fact that they seem to only want to sell to someone that can pick it up locally is going to KILL the value of these items. The entire advantage of E-bay is that you can sell to a world wide or at least country wide market.  Local pickup complete negates that advantage. They'd be better to sell it on Craigslist. At least then they wouldn't have to pay E-bay and Pay_Pal's fees or have to worry that the buyer would complain and Ebay take their money back.  The other thing that kills the value of old equipment is not be willing or able to test it and giving some kind of assurance that it works. This stuff could turn out to be nothing more than a boat anchor.

Did anyone notice that the power supply seems to be missing it's top case and the wires are running into the inside of the PS?  It certainly needs more/better pictures!

Cyberdragon:
No, they appear to be just random wires they last used coiled up into a caddy (for something else) at the top.

My point exactly. Only about an hour left to go. Hopefully someone here can pick up something they can use.

By the way, item # 164221999278, listed as
  Capacitors HV200-152M
  (we have 10 available)
  8lbs each, 4.5 x 3.75 x 8.25

Are actually very nice 115VAC input, 20KV 1.5mA output HV transformers.
The listing doesn't specify if the bid is for one or all 10.

If I could afford the shipping to Oz I'd buy all of them.
Sigh. But I could afford shipping on a couple of them. Probably would have snipe-won, except since the listing mentions "10 available" but seemed to be for one. So in the snipe bid I set Qty: 2. Result: the snipe bid was bounced by ebay as invalid. So someone got one (or 10?) for 99c.

Annnnd.... on the Tek 7104 scope I was way outbid.

Oh well. I knew a bid needed to be $200+ to have any chance, but I'm broke again atm.
