| Dubox connector crimping tool recommendation |

Hello, I would like to ask you, if you have some recommendation for alternative crimping tool for FCI Dubox 2.54 pitch connectors. I know best is original tool, but if we don't use it on daily basis, in can be sufficient use some cheaper tool (if exist). Main complication we have with insulating part, where connector isn't symmetric and most crimping tool can't crimp it right way. https://www.amphenol-icc.com/dubox-76347401lf.html Thank you very much, Jan |

For that large of connecor, I use an unbranded one like this: https://www.amazon.com/Crimping-0-08-1-0-18-28AWG-Ratcheting-Connector/dp/B01N1RFZZ4/ref=asc_df_B01N1RFZZ4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309735728871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4919047658647684223&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1024046&hvtargid=pla-525894687595&psc=1 1) It has ratcheting. 2) It has adjustments. 3) Mine has green handles. Mine was about the same or slightly less price. One thing I do to help is to use a pair of small forceps (like "hemostats") to slightly bend the insulation tangs against the insulation a little. That holds the wire in place before actually doing the crimp. |

We found it directly on manufacture shop for price about 15$, so we will take it there with some other tools ;) https://www.crimpingtools.com/collections/all/products/sn-2549-ratchet-crimping-tools-for-awg-28-18?_pos=1&_sid=d72d77591&_ss=r Have a nice day Jan |
