E-Bike light connector
« on: July 26, 2022, 02:37:45 pm »
Hi, apologies if this is covered before, but I cant find it.
I am looking for the name or source of this connector used on Bosch CX e-bike motors to allow an LED light to run from the main battery and is switched by the factory handlebar "Purion" controller (looks like the shop has enabled the function last time they did a software update).
I have never had one in my hand, so I haven't been able to get the numbers off it, I think the connection for the lights are keyed differently from the speed sensor etc. Does anyone know what this connector is called? I can see them online with a short tail of cable but would prefer to terminate it myself with a 1 piece cable to the light.
Cheers.

Looks to be a Bosch Kompakt Mini, part no. 1928406074. Good luck finding one to order, though. Even just the drawing is a PITA to find, have to register just to download it. (I've attached it below.) There doesn't seem to be a general catalog that I can find, nor any of the other documents referenced in the drawing.

These are the terminals for it: https://store.chiefenterprises.com/1928499421-Bosch-BMT-Terminal

Thanks very much for that info tooki, I will have a hunt around to see if they have any use for car/motorcycle wiring, but its starting to look like just buying the made up lead and extending it will be the only answer.
Cheers :)

It’s almost certainly the lower-hassle option. :/

What voltage comes out of that thing anyway?
Does it need to be enabled by programming (dealer)?
