Eagle CAD licence without Fusion360?

(1/2) > >>

nardev:
Does anyone know what's going on with Autodesk's Eagle CAD.

I just wanted to purchase the Eagle licence to be able to increase the board area but it looks like the only option is to purchase it with Fusion360.

https://www.autodesk.com/products/eagle/free-download?plc=F360&term=1-YEAR&support=ADVANCED&quantity=1#internal-link-buy

I can't see the link for only Eagle CAD Subscription.

nardev:
OMG, look at this:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/eagle/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Autodesk-EAGLE-now-included-with-Fusion-360.html#:~:text=Starting%20January%207th%2C%202020%2C%20Autodesk,360%20at%20no%20additional%20charge.

What a playing with words :D "Now it's included with Fusion" There is no like "No more separate Eagle selling"

How ridiculous  :palm:

ataradov:
Eagle is dead, forget about it.

And yes, their wording on Linux is a polite version of "go f*** yourself."

nardev:
It used to be pretty decent and stable option for Linux.

I hate KiCAD. I respect it but the flow is so stupid there.

ataradov:
I agree. For now I'm holding on to the last usable version, but the writing is on the wall. KiCAD is the only real option. I'm waiting for v6 though, there are some nice improvements planned.
