Ebay IR Torch?
« on: November 28, 2016, 01:23:32 am »
Hi
I looking for some Ebay IR Torch who not kill me by accident.
Can someone Recommend one? I know 100x Ebay Seller sell the same Product.  :=\
Is there some with UV, IR and researchable?

I know the start with 5€ or less but the Quality?
Is there some with different IR Wavelength?
THX

Don't buy from E-Bay, if you can, build one yourself. It's honestly not a complicated thing to do.

You need to figure out what sort of power you need out of it (No clue what you want) and purchase the appropriately powered LED. You can use single use batteries, like A,AA,AAA,AAA,C,D (You get the idea) batteries, throw a resistor into the mix, and wire it up to a switch. Make sure the resistor is powerful enough for your LED, and you've just made a torch.

I don't personally know who sells decent ones (I've never used one, nor seen one entirely tbh) but this isn't a bad idea.
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.

Making one is a good idea. You could use a Joule thief circuit (can be found via a search engine) and one battery. For IR two or three LEDs would need to be connected in series, as they have quite a low voltage drop.
