It's women's history month so in the interest of recognizing that AND celebrating a GIANT in the history of electrical engineering, let's put a spotlight on Edith Clarke: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edith_Clarke She invented the first graphing calculator, first woman to work professionally as an EE in the US, and literally wrote the book on AC Power Analysis: https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.278653/page/n19/mode/2up It's kind of startling how little the textbooks have changed from what is mostly a compilation of her lecture notes to GE. |
