| EE - Minoring in RF Classes |

I am a third year student going into fourth year next year in Electronic Engineering that is minoring in RF. For my minor, I can have up to 3 classes total. I have already done 2 classes that have content relating to antennas/cables and communication systems circuits. My third class can either be an SCADA Systems class that has content such as: PLC programming, smart relays etc, or another class in Integrated Circuit Design that has content such as: VLSI design for board/chip design. Not sure what class I should pick for my third class in my RF minor: SCADA Systems or Integrated Circuit Design? What would be more beneficial to my minor or job aspects? |
| RoGeorge:
SCADA is used anywhere in industrial application, and usually well paid, so good for finding a job. IC design is more interesting to learn, but it's a very narrow field with very few jobs available. |
| Psi:
yeah, personally if I couldn't decide then I would go with the SCADA / PLC / Smart relay option. Unless you actually have an interest in VLSI design for board/chip design. |
| johnboxall:
SCADA. Many more opportunities in Australia. |

Everyone is recommending SCADA class for my third minor class in RF. Should I take an SCADA class if I have no interest in programming and have poor skills in programming? I barely passed classes with programming in my EE degree. |
