Oh agreed, you need lots of safety bits to come out with 5 stars these days but, downloading the pdf report, things like chest protection in frontal impact come out as marginal too (lack of belt load limiters I think). |

Cheapest ATM is Chinese BYD at £25k I reckon, if the government , or someone, payed me, id be able to produce an electric car, 70mph, range 200 miles, 4 seat, for £9000. Would be ugly, but would get from A to B. I dont even think it would be difficult. --- End quote --- Have you considered GoFundMe or a KickStarter? Heck, I might even spot you that cash IF YOU PROVIDE INSURANCE YOU WILL DELIVER IN 9 MONTHS (or any agreed upon time frame). Now, if you can't deliver within the agreed upon timeframe, what would the penalty be? That's the problem you have created. |

eevblog forum will need a whole new sub section just to deal with all the design questions that will asked along the way. And what would this new car be named? |
