I will say the 2006 capacitor plauge in computers was from a company leaking an incorrect formula deliberately, and a number of cheaper producers jumping on it

The plague is still going on in a much wider scale. Who knows where components are truly coming from these days. I wonder if a gas chromatography machine would reveal the composition?
