Electronica 2016 in Munich - Tickets wanted
« on: September 26, 2016, 10:41:43 pm »
Hi folks,
does anyone have one or two tickets for Electronica 2016 to spare?
A few years back when I was still working in an electronics manufacturing company,
we got loads more ticket vouchers than people actually wanted to go there.
Thought this might still be the case.. and before they go to the trash, I'd take some ;-)
Regards
~woo

I believe all exhibitors are given a lot of voucher codes , so if there's anyone you know on the exhibitor list, contact them.
Each voucher is valid for one day - the website deals sensibly with multiple codes.
Maybe see you there!

Three would be perfect, for me and my tinkermates..

Free tickets here :
http://www.electronics-know-how.com/article/2366/get-a-free-ticket-for-electronica

(Note tix are per-day)

I went a few years ago after getting a free ticket from Farnell, I hadn't realized it was a 1 day ticket and was due to attend for 3 days.  Do most people only go for 1 day?  The place was enormous, even after 3 days I hadn't seen all of it.

If they're free definitely get enough for as long as you're in town and decide when you get there.
Unless you do some research ahead and just want to go to some specific stands, 1 day is almost definitely not going to be enough.
If you're random browsing and quick on your feet 2 days is doable, though even then you'll want to miss out some of the specialist areas.
To see everything, at more than just  glancing speed, or if you want a more leisurely pace, allow 3 days.

One word of warning - I recall a distinct lack of places to sit down, both at the show and elsewhere in Munich. Comfortable shoes are essential, and when you do see somewhere to set & rest, grab it, as it might be a while before you get another chance.

Around lunchtime, head towards the big corporate stands as some have free food up for grabs!

Usually, one day is enough for me.. and in the last few years I always went there on Friday.
There's so many exhibitors where you can score neat stuff when they're about to pack up.. ;)

This year I am not going.
But I still have one free ticket, if someone needs one, let me know.

I'll be there on Friday with my two workshop buddies. If you see a bear with an EEVblog shirt ("negative feedback"), say Hi =^.^=

Is it still available? If so, I'd take it.. another buddy just asked me if he can come with us - and the site linked above does no longer work.

Ok, I live in Munich... so no excuses I took Friday off to go there! Now if someone has a ticket very welcome, otherwise I can mange to buy one.

I will also wear an EEVBlog shirt.

PS: Next year... I will cook dinner in my apartment for the EEVBlog mates and have a tour in my Lab... this year can't really make it! Please remember me that so I will not forget!
Looking for a good EE chat with you in front a nice pasta!
