Electronics and Instrumentation engineering.

(1/2) > >>

Srivatsa R Upadhya:
I am planning to get into electronics engineering. I came across the course in Electronics&Instrumentation engineering. There are two more i.e Electronics&Communication and Electronics&Electrical Engineering. After searching the internet I feel E&I and E&E are quiet similar. I am unable to make a choice between the three.
I just want to know what are the major differences between the three. Which one would be a good choice ?

krish2487:
Is doing "Electronics Engineering" a journey for you? or a destination , in and of itself ??
If it is the latter, then any of the three will be the same. If it the former, then you should have a
reasonable idea about the width and depth of what encompasses "electronics engineering" and where
your interests lie. Then the choice of stream will be easier.

To phrase it, its like me asking you for your opinion on what is the best car for me to drive ??

armandine2:
It looks like all options include electronics - if communication and instrumentation don't float your boat I'd stick to electrical.

Kerlin:
What I have done in the past was to do one and get accreditation for it, and then do the other one and get exemptions for the common subjects.
It often means you only need to do a few extra subjects.
It looks like you have done a lot more work than you actually have.
That's one of the secrets of my 1Kg weight of qualifications and licenses, they do allow me a choice of jobs.

Srivatsa R Upadhya:
 ;) Yeah cool!!
