Electronics in Singapore.
« on: April 07, 2015, 10:47:12 am »
Hi all. I am with my school in Singapore to attend some courses involving firefighting, sea rescue and some engine simulations.
In less than a year I hopefully will be a marine engineer.

Not quite electrical engineering. That i have reserved for my hobby.
I am there until next wednesday and i would like to buy some components and maybe a multimeter if the prices are okay. Other than that it would be nice to see some other test equipment in physical form.

Any pointers to where i might go?
I am living on lavender street if that helps. And i can take the MRT (subway) if it's to far to walk.

Hi!

I recommend you head down to Sim Lim Tower (don't confuse it with Sim Lim Square, which is IT related and directly opposite SIm Lim Tower) on Jalan Besar. Not far from Lavender. Nearest MRT is Bugis or Little India.

Don't expect modern stuff there though, it feels like it is stuck in the 80ies. Lots of measurement stuff though.

happy shopping, Werner
