Electronics repair channels on YouTube - recommendations?
nightfire:
Well, in addition to the already mentioned channels, I sometimes like to watch:
https://www.youtube.com/@LearnElectronicsRepair - some oldschoold methods for diagnosis, mostly with an old Fluke 77
https://www.youtube.com/@electronicsrepairschool - also some classic methods for diag of issues, with good explanations

Alan is great. He has some clips on basic stuff and all the way to using scopes and other test equipment and how to use them for different things.
Very informative stuff on his back to basics series. I believe he is ex Tectronix.
Mr. Carlson is great as well. If you join his Patreon page, you get access to test equipment he designs. Great stuff.

Agreed, his channel popped up a few days ago in my Youtube feed.
It's really well produced, and I have no idea how he manages to chuckle all the time, and keep his perma smile. I wasn't sure if I'd tire of it, but I've found quite the opposite. It's total nerd entertainment. He has a great workshop too, with a good proportion of his TE being middle aged if not older, showing that you don't need the latest gear to be productive.
I think I might suggest that he invests in soldering tweezers for the SMD work he does.
His biggest crime (tongue deeply embedded in cheek) is he still uses that manky old solder sucker: I haven't used one of those for 30 years!
I find his videos highly entertaining and educational, but then I am a total nerd.

One that I recently found, I didn't see posted here before, and quite like for his in depth repairs, is Martian Tech. Mainly test equipment and vintage computers. I guess they only have vintage stuff on Mars ;)
