Electronics repair channels on YouTube - recommendations?
SolderSucker:
Besides EEVBlog of course, do you have any favorite electronics repair channels on YouTube? For example:
Mend It Mark - only recently found this guy and love his channel - he's informative, entertaining and does some really nice work (https://www.youtube.com/@MendItMark )
Uncle Doug - always a pleasure to watch this guy work (https://www.youtube.com/@UncleDoug/ )
Mr Carlson's Lab - takes his time and goes into great detail (https://www.youtube.com/@MrCarlsonsLab )
and that's just three off the top of my head.
What are some of your favorites?
alm:
CuriousMarc. Does some quite in-depth repairs in collaboration with others. Mostly vintage computers, NASA hardware and HP equipment.
The Signal Path (Shahriar), forum user Hugoneus. Repairs test equipment, and will usually go in into the theory of operations of the equipment he's repairing.
Bud:
I can say which ones cannot recommend. Those youtubers who play overexcitement, make grimaces on the camera, do not mute the audio when aligning receivers with RF signal gen, who riducule the old equipment they are restoring and who do not clean dust from it before poking it with their magic screwdriver.
themadhippy:
whilst not 100% repair ,big clive for the trashier side of things
TERRA Operative:
* Glances sideways at forum signature... :P
